FAQ

Common questions

Do I need a formal degree to become a teacher?

Not necessarily. What matters is that a recognised Islamic institution — a masjid, madrasah, or Islamic college — is willing to endorse your knowledge and credentials. Many teachers hold informal certifications, ijazah chains, or years of structured study.

How does the verification process work?

After creating your profile, you nominate the institution that can vouch for you. Our team contacts them to confirm your credentials. Once approved, you receive the verified badge and can start accepting bookings.

What percentage does Ta'dib take?

Platform fees range from 5–12% depending on session format and learning-plan continuity — longer commitments carry lower fees. There are no subscriptions and no listing fees, ever. The full breakdown is on the Pricing page.

Can I teach group classes as well as 1-on-1?

Yes. You can list both individual sessions and group classes. Group classes have a separate listing flow with capacity controls and shared booking links.

What if a student cancels last-minute?

Our cancellation policy protects teachers. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a session are subject to a partial refund to the teacher. Full details are in the Teacher Terms.

How quickly can I start earning?

Most teachers complete onboarding and verification within 1–2 weeks. Once verified, your profile is live and discoverable. Many teachers receive their first booking within days of going live.
